- My voluntary role was during my National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) as a general secretary in my community development service (CDS) group. CDS is a programme which aims at contributing to the development of communities. CDS is categorised into groups such as drug-free, Environmental development, Charity and Gender, Anti-corruption and much more. I took on a leadership role in Drug-Free group as the general secretary of my CDS. The drug-free programme aims at creating health awareness about drugs and the effects of its abuse, in order to reduce the rate of drug abuse in communities and promote healthy lifestyles. My team comprises of 7 members with background knowledge of human health and we had a motive to promote good health. Also, before the commencement of our sensitization and awareness programmes, I was in charge of the computing and forwarding of notification letters to schools in a rural community called Efon alaaye at Ekiti state. Every week, we would volunteer to educate students and teachers in different schools about the abuse of drugs and their effects. We also established drug-free clubs.
