• For about a month I worked the account table: my job was to input new drugs, their quantity, expiration date and price into the system software. I also sold the drugs. I was in charge of the money and accounted for the gross profit at the end of my shift which was from 8am to 5pm. I was later assigned to work over the counter when an accounting student came in for her internship. Working over the counter included the dispensation of drugs, the approval and packaging of drugs. Drugs to be approved were special drugs such as syrups or tablets with codeine, tramadol etc. we also approved drugs based on age; underage girls were not allowed to buy Postinor or other drugs known to cause abortion. Working the counter also involved the arrangement of drugs on the shelf, organisation of patients coming in to see the pharmacist and/or nurses. My shift was from 8am to 3pm.

• The first class I taught before the COVID-19 pandemic quarantine was Senior Secondary School 1 (SSS1), Arts department. I taught Literature to both Art 1 and Art 2. I introduced the students to their new literature, gave them comprehensive and detailed notes with assignments. I introduced them to new words and encouraged them to read; not just their texts and notes but any advisable literature for their age. I gave tests and made sure their notes were up to date. After the quarantine, when school resumed I was assigned to Senior Secondary School 2 (SSS2) along with an assistant to teach English Language to all the SSS2 students, which was over six classes. I taught them on stress, introduced them to new words associated to certain registers. I gave comprehensive and explanatory notes and also gave assignments. Above all, my greatest achievement during my stay was emphasising on the importance of inculcating a good reading habit and the follow-up on those who actually started reading more.
